William Holmes
A truly unique talent, William Holmes redshirted his 2024 freshman season, showcasing immediate impact with 6 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Holmes’ path to Utah State is unconventional; he forewent high school football, instead pursuing a five-year professional baseball career after being a fifth-round MLB Draft pick by the Los Angeles Angels. A physical specimen with an athletic frame, broad shoulders, and impressive foot speed, Holmes brings exciting untapped potential to the team, evidenced by his raw power and excellent lower body strength. He’s also a strong student, earning Academic All-Mountain West honors.
